Real life
A sports coach refuses to pick a girl for the school team only because she is a girl. That is discrimination.
What it means
- Article 15 stops the State from discriminating on these grounds.
- Public places like parks, wells, roads and government shops must be open to all.
- Special support for women, children and disadvantaged groups is allowed - that is called affirmative action.
